Through CBC’s Transmission Bearing Company (TBC), CBC technical specialists are able to provide high quality customised engineering solutions through the capabilities of their total Machine Shop. With the combination of TBC and CBC technical specialists, we can take care of every manufacturing need, from initial evaluation of customer requirements, right through to design, manufacturing and installation of any customised application.
TBC was established in 1968, out of a need for top quality, cost-effective solutions that were simply not available within Australia at that time. TBC and CBC experienced engineers work closely with our customers to design any complete customised solution in a variety of industries, including mining, farming and agriculture, food and beverage, and heavy industry. We incorporate our suppliers and their expertise in bearings, housings, sealing technology, and lubrication.
For CBC, no job is too small – or too large. We manufacture single piece units, right through to large volume runs. So no matter how small or large your problem, we will have the solution you need.
Through TBC design and development, CBC has been able to provide solutions for a range of applications that include wire rope sheaves, conveyor pulleys, track rollers, swing cases, housings, and sealing assemblies.
TBC offer state of the art CAD (Computer Assisted Drawing) capabilities. With this software, we are able to create designs to suit any customer’s specific requirement. Our CNC machining capabilities enable high volume components to be produced from steel plate, bar, and castings. The design and manufacture of various housings include standard housings, specialty housings, and split plummer block housings, all in various different styles. TBC are proud to have offered an extensive range of specially manufactured wire rope sheaves, all made in accordance with the Australian Crane code standards. TBC not only provide specially designed units, they also provide full assemblies, complete machined components assembled with bearings and seals, in order to provide complete customised solutions to any customer needs. CBC’s experienced field engineers are able to visit sites in order to evaluate every design and manufacturing requirement.
CBC can also provide a wide range of practical, detailed, and comprehensive wall charts that contain all the essential information that is required to implement all standard fitting practices and procedures. We can offer standard charts as well as unique charts, customised and designed for specific applications. These wall charts help to maximise the life and efficiency of bearings. These charts are a combination of detailed information gathered from bearing manufacturers catalogues and engineering handbooks, all compiled into a functional and user-friendly format.
